Managing Director, Mustafa Kazem

Mustafa Kazem is the Managing Director of AGF and heads fundraising and strategic initiatives for Afghanistan and the MENA region. In addition, he leads the company’s investment, compliance, and reporting activities.

Mr. Kazem has over 15 years of experience in the investment management field, specifically in alternative investments, impact investing, and restructuring and workouts.

From 2007-2018, Mr. Kazem worked with SEAF, a global asset management company providing risk capital and advisory services to SMEs in emerging markets. While with SEAF, Mr. Kazem raised more than USD 168 Million of capital, and led direct investments into 34 early-stage companies across a number of key industries, including ICT, Industrial & Energy, Consumer & Retail, and Pharmaceuticals. He served on SEAF’s Senior Management Committee.

Mr. Kazem holds an Executive MBA from the London Business School.
